Adele goes viral for scolding a fan at her Las Vegas residency show who supposedly yelled “Pride sucks,” referring to Pride Month in June.
A video posted to X that has more than 11 million views shows the singer scolding the fan at the show on June 1.
“Did you come to my f***ing show and just say that Pride sucks? Are you f***ing stupid? Don’t be so f***ing ridiculous,” Adele said. “If you have nothing nice to say, shut up. Alright?”
Upon learning that Adele seemed to have misheard the fan, social media users demanded an apology from the Grammy winner. “oh myyyy I hope she apologized,” someone reacted. Another speculated, “Well…Adele is gonna apologize at the next show! At least we know not to say that at her show.”
Calling out Adele for supposedly being “rude,” a third user said, “Her reaction is wild, she can’t even hear but she’s sure rude a f.” Another slammed her, “Lesson learned stop yelling out random nonsense bc you’re desperate for attention.”
Someone, however, defended Adele for being an LGBTQ ally anyway, penning, “Well…at least she was ready to defend the LGBTQ at the drop of a hat.” One other sympathized with the fan commenting, “Oh this poor guy, I would never recover from this.”
